When he was younger, Joe was one of the best shot-putters and hammer-throwers in all of Canada. He competed successfully at the Junior Nationals and Pan American games, representing Canada. He holds a psychology major from Washington State University where he earned his B.Sc., with a minor in business administration. Joe is also a strong advocate of anti-bullying and giving back to the community. He is the proud founder of Big Joe’s Little Giants. Working with halfway homes for abused and neglected women and children, Big Joe’s Little Giants tries to reintroduce positive male role models through fun candid activities. Whether it’s bringing kids out to games or other activities like renting out bowling alleys. The goal is to do simple fun things that help bring some joy to children going through a very tough time in their lives. In his spare time, Joe enjoys all kinds of music, as well as outdoor activities including hiking, camping, bow hunting and fishing.
